A Walk In The Wine Country

Gosh, I wish I could have taken all of you along with me. It was a gorgeous day at Paradise Ridge Winery in Sonoma County. For years this winery has sponsored an annual sculpture exhibit on 4 acres of gnarled oak trees. The exhibit lasts for one year and then new sculptors come in with their work.

Being in the presence of large metal always makes me grateful for the ease with which I can bend, anneal, and solder my work.

If you plan to be in the Santa Rosa area, you will love this installation. My apologies to the artists for not getting their names…

Cathy, happy anniversary! Long term relationships are ever so special in this fast, disposable world. I think you would enjoy this exhibit, and even if it has changed by the time you go, it will certainly be a pleasure.

Yes, any excuse for a trip to this beautiful area of California. Hope all is well, Ruth!

Oh, lucky you! You’ve given me another reason to make another trip to Napa. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Hi Connie, that looks like a really interesting exhibit. My husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary in San Francisco, Napa & Sonoma last month. We visited a couple wineries in nearby Healdsburg, as well as a rose farm, and would have definitely stopped here if I had known about it. We love the area, and will put Paradise Ridge on our bucket list for the next trip! ~Cathy
